BGP-based Ethernet VPN (EVPN) aims to reduce operational complexity for layer 2 services while providing a unified control plane for both layer 2 and layer 3 services. This lab will enable the attendees to experience the implementation and working of Ethernet EVPN over SR-MPLS transport on IOS XR based on Cisco 8000 Series and NCS 55xx/5xx Series platforms. The self-paced lab will cover the various multihoming redundancy modes for EVPN (all-active, port-active, single-active) and services like EVPN E-LAN, E-Line, and IRB. Completion of the lab will provide the attendees with a deeper understanding of BGP-EVPN configuration steps on IOS XR along with platform-specific behavior and troubleshooting skills.
