LABIPV-2468 - Securing IPv6 Access: Deep Dive into First Hop Security Features on Catalyst Switches
Proctors | Dominik Dobrowolski None | Valentin Popravko None |
With the immense spread of IPv6 adoption the need for securing the IPv6 operations on L2 domains has never been that actual. With any type of the network deployment - be it any size campus in classic network architecture or SDA - the IPv6 link operations are challenged with security risks. The switch is the first device on the way of IPv6 user and this is where the First Hop Security Features (FHS) come into play to secure network access. In this hands-on experience you'll try out different scenarios with simulated security threats and will use different methods to detect and overcome them on the Catalyst switch platform. During the lab you will configure and try IPv6 First Hop Security Features in action like ND Inspection, DHCPv6 Snooping, Device tracking, IPv6 RA Guard, DHCPv6 Guard, IPv6 Source Guard.
