LABCRT-1000 - GitOps for NetEng: The Hero Journey
Proctors | Barnes Kourtney |
Step into the world of GitOps and transform the way you manage network configurations. In this hands-on lab, network engineers will learn how to use Git and GitHub to implement a GitOps workflow, enabling automated testing and deployment of network configurations to Cisco Modeling Labs (CML). Attendees will gain practical experience with core Git functions, initializing repositories, and managing version control in a collaborative environment. Participants will also create a CI/CD pipeline using GitHub Actions, defining workflows with YAML documents and automating the deployment process to CML. This lab provides a practical introduction to continuous integration and continuous deployment for network engineers, bridging the gap between traditional network operations and modern DevOps practices. This session aligns with Cisco’s CCNA Automation and CCNP Automation certifications, providing foundational skills in network automation, Git-based workflows, and CI/CD pipelines. Attendees will leave with the confidence to apply GitOps principles in their own network environments, accelerating automation adoption and improving operational efficiency.
